MIDI + FOOT-PEDAL MAPPING

Use a keyboard, pad, or foot pedal to guide the bilateral rhythm.

MIDI is a simple way for electronic instruments and controllers to send button-press messages to your computer. BLS Arcade listens for those messages and turns them into Left and Right cues; it does not record your playing or use the instrument's sound.

MIDI, in plain language

Bring the controls you already know how to use.

MIDI is a standard way for a keyboard, pad controller, drum controller, or foot pedal to tell your computer that a key or control was pressed. It sends a small control message, not a recording of the music or sound from the instrument.

Choose your input

Use a compatible MIDI keyboard, pad controller, drum controller, or foot pedal. You do not need to use the instrument's built-in sounds.

Use it with the session

Teach BLS Arcade which control means Left and which means Right. You can also use note presses to advance Instrument Play, or use compatible mapped pads as taps in supported games.

Follow the setup guide

After you sign in, the guided setup walks you through connecting the device, allowing browser access, selecting the device, teaching both sides, testing them, and saving the setup.

A manual therapist-entered, in-session tool is in production preview and is not yet available to paid therapist accounts. It will not automatically track a client or create a saved client history.

Adaptive Engine (Coming soon)

Coming soon. It will watch the session with you and surface a suggestion when something drifts. It will wait for your tap: you tap to apply it, or dismiss it and nothing happens. It never acts without you. The adaptive engine is entirely rules-based, not AI. No client content is stored by the engine or sent to any external service.

The structured closing workflow and specialty suggestions are in production preview and are not yet available to paid therapist accounts.

Remote Sessions

Share a browser link; no client account or download is required. You control the session remotely. BLS Arcade is not designed for PHI, and active Live Session content is relayed through our server while a session is active.

BLS Arcade was created by Sam Bergstein (she/her), LISW-S (OH), LCSW (CA), REAT, an EMDRIA-certified therapist and EMDRIA-approved consultant, Registered Expressive Arts Therapist and Supervisor, and IFS Level 2-trained clinician.

Sam's work brings together EMDR, expressive arts therapy, parts-work integration, and a neurodivergent-affirming approach to clinical consultation. That perspective shapes BLS Arcade from the ground up: it is designed as a practical, engaging resource that licensed therapists can use thoughtfully in their work with clients. Sam's advanced dissociation studies training further informs the resource's attention to pacing, choice, and flexibility.

Rather than treating clinical tools as one-size-fits-all, BLS Arcade is grounded in the belief that pacing, choice, creativity, and accessibility matter. The result is a tool made by someone who understands both the clinical framework and the human experience of adapting it to the needs of real people.
